I've led people in three very different worlds, and they all taught me the same lesson: nobody hands you a manual.I started in retail sales at SunCom/T-Mobile, where I was the top sales rep across Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina year after year, and then I was promoted to retail store manager. I know firsthand what it's like to go from top performer to suddenly leading the team.Then I spent 10 years owning and running Tropical Tan & Smoothies, where I hired, trained, and led a team of 12. With no HR department and no playbook, I built my own training model, and other businesses in my industry adopted it.Since 2015, I've worked in leadership development for the nation's largest integrated healthcare system, training thousands of employees and coaching supervisors through the hardest parts of the job. And I keep hearing the same thing: "They gave me the title, but nobody showed me how to do it."That's why I started Lead with Lisa. With 25+ years of leading, training, and coaching people, and a business degree in Healthcare Management from Campbell University, I help supervisors lead with confidence, even when no one else is in their corner.
